BURBERRY VIRTUAL EMPLOYEE SALE - UK EMPLOYEE TERMS & CONDITIONS

OVERVIEW

• A Burberry Virtual Employee Sale (“Virtual Employee Sale”) will take place on selected Tuesdays and Wednesday from 1st April 2023 – Sunday 31st March 2024 (not including weekends).

• “Burberry Employee Sales” include the Physical Employee Sale, the Digital Employee Sale and the Virtual Employee Sale. Burberry Employee Sales are opportunities for employees to purchase Burberry products at discounted prices. Other employee discounts will not apply.

PLEASE BE AWARE all products offered in this Virtual Employee Sale will include minor imperfections, such as scratches, tarnishing, or other minor markings and/or defects. These imperfections should not materially detract from the relevant product’s purpose; however ANY DEFECTS MAY NOT BE CLEARLY VISIBLE DURING THE APPOINTMENT. This will not affect your statutory rights.

• By participating in the Virtual Employee Sale, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (including any additional terms, conditions and policies referred to below) (the "Terms and Conditions").

• The Virtual Employee Sale can only be accessed by booking an appointment via this link. Under no circumstance may employees share their login details and it is only Burberry employees who may attend the Virtual Employee Sale appointments. The sharing or circulation of login details may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. The Virtual Employee Sale will be replenished with stock regularly and may close for short periods of time when necessary. The sale of items will be closely managed due to quantities available.

• For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, “year” means 1st April – 31st March and “quarter” means 1 April – 30 June, 1 July – 30 September, 1 October – 31 December, 1 January – 31 March.

• Employees may only spend an aggregate of up to £7,500 per year at all Burberry Employee Sales (being the Virtual Employee Sale, the Digital Employee Sale and the Physical Employee Sale) held during such year. Employees are only permitted to purchase the following maximum number of units per quarter across all Burberry Employee Sales (meaning that spend and limits on this Virtual Employee Sale will be taken into account when shopping the other Burberry Employee Sales (Digital Employee Sale and/or Physical Employee Sale) and vice versa).

• 5 Bags, including luggage

• 5 Small Accessories e.g. wallets purses cardholders

• 5 Heritage Rainwear

• 3 mystery boxes (1 per month)

• 10 Scarves

• 5 units of any product with the same article number regardless of size.

• Please note that the spending limit does not include shipping fees and does take into account returns processed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. As an example, if you have spent £7,499 and wish to make another purchase at a Burberry Employee Sale, you will need to return eligible items and have them processed before any further purchases can be made.

• It is an employee’s responsibility to ensure they do not exceed this spending limit. Any employee who does exceed the combined Burberry Employee Sales (Physical Employee Sale, Digital Employee Sale and Virtual Employee Sale) limits may be prevented from making further purchases for the remainder of this sale and any future sales, be banned from this or future sales, have any unshipped orders cancelled, and may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal and their line manager will be advised. Additionally, any spend deemed unusual will be investigated and dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

• Spend at Burberry Employee Sales is not included in the annual employee discount spending limit. For questions regarding the Employee Discount Policy and the spending limit, please email employee.discount@burberry.com.

• Product purchased is for personal use only, or for the use of the employee’s immediate family (parents / step-parent, spouse / partner, siblings, children / step-children), or as a personal gift from the employee to someone else for which they are not reimbursed. Only members of the employee’s immediate family may reimburse the employee for items purchased for their personal use. In any other circumstances, re-sale of merchandise purchased at any Burberry Employee Sale is strictly prohibited and may lead to being prevented from making further purchases for the remainder of the sale and any future sales, being banned from this or future sales, having any unshipped orders cancelled, disciplinary action up to and including dismissal and line managers being advised. Anyone believed to be listing items on WeChat, eBay or similar sites from any Burberry Employee Sale will face a disciplinary investigation and your line manager will be informed.

• Please ensure you have fully read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The Virtual Employee Sale is only open to employees that: (i) are employed in the UK (ii) reside in the UK (iii) have not been informed their employee discount has been suspended; and (iv) are not suspended pending investigation into alleged discount abuse.
  • The Virtual Employee Sale can only be accessed by a Burberry employee who is using their Burberry employee email address.
  • All Virtual Appointments will be hosted over Microsoft Teams where you will be asked to have your video turned on throughout the appointment. Other than the employee no else should be viewing the screen/virtual appointment.
  • You must ensure that your Burberry World profile has a display picture present so we can verify your identity.

ETIQUETTE

• You may only book up to two appointments per calendar month, unless otherwise specified by Burberry in writing. Failure to comply with this restriction may lead to being prevented from making further purchases for the remainder of the sale and any future sales, being banned from this or future sales, having any unshipped orders cancelled, disciplinary action up to and including dismissal and line managers being advised.

• Do not post on any social media, or any other customer experience platform, feedback survey or site regarding the Virtual Employee Sale.

• Please refrain from contacting the Customer Service team regarding queries or requests relating to product purchased at a Virtual Employee Sale. Instead, please contact UKDigitalEmployeeSale.@burberry.com

• Please note that:

(a) any breaches of these Terms and Conditions (or any other terms applicable to the Virtual Employee Sale); and/or

(b) any communication to the Burberry Customer Service Team and/or UKDigitalEmployeeSale@burberry.com deemed by Burberry to be abusive, impolite or otherwise inappropriate,

may lead to being prevented from making further purchases for the remainder of the sale and any future sales, being banned from this or future sales, having any unshipped orders cancelled, disciplinary action up to and including dismissal and line managers being advised.

PAYMENTS

• The delivery window for all Virtual Employee Sale orders is up to 14 business days. Please note that payment will be taken for your items at the time of your order rather than when your order is shipped. Should part or all of your order be unable to be shipped for any reason you will be notified and the balance owed to you will be refunded within 7 business days of your order being cancelled/amended (as relevant).

• The name on the card must match the name of the employee making the purchase. Burberry Gift cards and Employee Long Service Vouchers are an accepted method of payment at the Virtual Employee Sale.

• Payment for your order will be taken via PayByLink during your appointment. This means that, towards the end of your allocated time, you will be sent an email to your Burberry email address with a link to an online payments page where you will securely input your card details to process payment. The sales team will need to receive an authorisation code to finish and process the sale.

• The payment should be made and authorisation code received by the sales team within your allocated time to guarantee the success processing of your order.

SHIPPING & PACKAGING

• Purchases from the Virtual Employee Sale are only eligible for standard shipping and standard packaging.

• Any postage costs incurred from the purchase of products via the Virtual Employee Sale are to be paid for by the employee. The cost of shipping will be £7 per order and you will be reminded of this at checkout.

• Please note that items purchased from the Virtual Employee Sale are not eligible for shipping outside of the UK.

• Only one delivery address may be used for the duration of the Virtual Employee Sale and this must match the address in your customer profile.

• “Collect in Store” will not be available as a method of delivery.

RETURNS

• In keeping with our theme of minimising waste, we ask you to consider the impact of purchasing more than you are likely to want to keep and then returning items after the sale. Please consider your purchases carefully before completing your order.

• If you have any unwanted purchases, please notify UKDigitalEmployeeSale@burberry.com within 14 days of your product arriving that you want to make a return and then you will have a further 14 days to return your product(s).

• Please return items using a trackable delivery method and clearly address your package to:

• The cost of returning items must be covered by you. Should a full order be returned, the initial delivery cost will be reimbursed. All returns must be sent via post and no returns will be accepted in person. This does not affect your statutory rights.

• Please be advised that it is your responsibility to ensure that goods returned to us arrive at the relevant address safely and undamaged. We would therefore recommend that you use a trackable delivery method and retain proof of postage.

• To ensure you can be assisted with any damaged or incorrect items being delivered to you, or otherwise to assist with any missing items, you must keep the original delivery box, documents and transactional emails for reference.

ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Products bought at the Virtual Employee Sale are not eligible for a tax reclaim.
  • Please note product purchased from the Virtual Employee Sale are not eligible for Burberry Aftercare service including but not limited to repairs & alterations. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Anyone found to be acting not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions may be prevented from making further purchases for the remainder of the sale and any future sales, banned from this or future sales, have any unshipped orders cancelled, and disciplinary action up to and including dismissal may follow with their line manager being advisedbe banned from accessing the Virtual Employee Sale now and in the future, their line manager will be advised and disciplinary proceedings up to and including dismissal may follow.
  • The products on offer as part of the Virtual Employee Sale may include a “was” price on the ticket. This price represents the price at which this product or a similar product was originally offered for sale in Burberry’s mainline, online or wholesale stores around the world, or is an estimate of a price at which the product would have been offered at our mainline stores. The “was” price is for comparison purposes only.
  • Burberry reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, terminate or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

BURBERRY VIRTUAL EMPLOYEE SALE PURCHASES OF EXOTIC PRODUCTS

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is an agreement between governments, regulating the international trade in specimens of certain wild animals and plants.

• Burberry fully supports the conservation of species whose trade is regulated under CITES and complies with all the National and International regulations.

• In compliance with International and EU regulations, travellers crossing international borders require a CITES permit.

• Exotic items regulated by CITES sold during the Virtual Employee Sale will not be provided with a CITES permit.

• It is your responsibility to be aware of and adhere to CITES and any other wildlife trade regulations that apply in the country you are entering or leaving.

• Please check the requirements of each country before you attempt to bring your purchased item across their borders.
